Caged has a nice pace, is well shot and the story line is, some might say dull, realistic and fits the relationship arc. It’s the characters actions which say most about the state of the relationship; from being in sync when running at the beginning, to refusing to share water, to running solo and then, a tingly moment, back to running together at the end. It all plays out within the dynamic of an intolerant group of friends and one of the friend’s desire for a girl. Like i said, it’s realistic, it feels natural. Some might have preferred for the openly gay guy to be beaten up but that wouldn’t have fit the tone at all. At the end of the day what matters is that everyone is open and honest about who they are; who we love doesn’t change who we are, some people just can’t accept that.
Things I Liked: 1 - The pacing 2 - Actions reflect the state of the relationships clearly 3 - The tingly happy ending Things I Didn't Like: 1 - At times the emotion was a too subtle
