Drama | 22mins | Italian (SWISS) | 2013

“Matteo is a 17-year-old boy who comes to the realization that he is in love with Don Massimo, a young priest of the village that leads the marching band in which Matteo plays the drum. He sees in Massimo a person willing to listen to his fears and desires. For the first time in his life, Matteo feels ready to open up to someone…”

Written & Directed by: Filippo Demarchi
Starring: Fabio Foiada, Kevin Martinetti, Laura Minazzi & Ignazio Oliva

Age 17 is almost an innocent look at what can happen when a sexually confused teenager finds themselves in uncharted territory when it comes to emotions; just make that teenager a band geek and the person they love their conductor/priest. Despite the connotations, the subject is handled rather well and proves for an original short, which though not daring, is satisfying to watch.

Things I Liked:
1 - Originality

Things I Didn't Like:
1 - Doesn't push boundaries.
