“A man and a boy, travelling to an unknown destination, find respite in a motel swimming pool. On the surface all seems normal, but nothing is what it seems to be.”

The Strange Ones is more than strange; it’s dark, depressing and it’s disturbing. From the start questions arise in your mind and whilst you wait for answers, a sense of something being wrong builds up. It’s not until the final moments that all becomes clear and the truth sorts itself from the lies; that’s the moment the sickening truth sinks in. And it works because it keeps it simple. It utilises the setting, lighting and sound to draw you into the darkness.
Things I Liked: 1 - Utilisation of setting, sound and lighting 2 - Focused storytelling 3 - The reveal Things I Didn't Like: 1 - It ended
