Some things don’t age well, or maybe weren’t ever funny.

When I first watched Freddy Got Fingered I laughed at almost everything but now not quite so much. I’m not sure if the jokes/gags haven’t aged that well or if it’s just the performance of Tom Green… or maybe my humour has changed. There will always be boundary pushing comedy which offends people but to work it needs to be well written, well delivered and not the focus of the film. Certain scenes did still tickle me a little and overall the weird quirkiness is almost charming but it lacks cohesion and just doesn’t match the standards in the genre.

Now go and watch it…
