“The Plastics are back in the long awaited follow-up to the smash-hit Mean Girls… and now the clique is more fashionable, funny and ferocious than ever!”

… in 1 word:
Disappointing.

… in 10 words:
This certainly isn’t the sequel that anyone had hoped for.

… in 100 words:
Quotable? No. Returning cast? No (except Principal Duvall) Awesome soundtrack? No (though there is a Katy Perry song). Same location? No (but it’s supposed to be the same place). Things don’t look good do they. What people wanted was a Tina Fey penned sequel with the stars of the original, not a mediocre straight to DVD sequel. It isn’t awful and does try to depart from its predecessor but it lacks the magic of first and shouldn’t be called Mean Girls 2… maybe Mean Girlsesque. It had a tough job to satisfy fans and disappointingly failed. It’s not even quotable.

Now go and watch it…
